Portobello Road Martingale Collar

Our Portobello Road martingale collar is made from a classic Liberty Art print from their archive collection of paisley style designs. Shalimar has all the hallmarks of an iconic Liberty of London print with its small scale florals, paisley pattern, and hand-drawn flowers for our loyal liberty art fans. The cotton we use to make this collar is called ‘Tana Lawn’, superior cotton that acts and feels like silk. It has a distinctive softness and a unique thread count that makes the fabric feel cool in summer yet warm in winter.

This collar is lined with your choice of smokey grey or vermilion red Swiss velvet. Smokey grey creates a classic look, whereas vermilion red gives the collar a retro appeal. We then ask you to finish the collar with your choice of solid brass or nickel-plated silver hardware. Opt for solid brass if you would like an opulent finish. Choose nickel-plated silver to accentuate the retro look.

Martingale collars have a unique design that keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of its collar.

Your Portobello Road martingale collar will sit loosely around your dog’s neck. If and when they pull, the martingale loop will tighten, exerting a gentle pressure around their neck. This action doesn’t hurt, meaning our martingale collars are a safe and effective way to easily manage a dog that slips its collar.

Essentially, martingales are perfect for walking or training dogs and can be especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds (whose first instincts are to buck their collar when nervous).

This collar is available in three widths; 1″, 1.5″ or 2” and in six different sizes; Extra-Small, Small, Small-Medium, Medium, Large and Extra-Large.

Caring for your Liberty Art collar

We recommend hand washing or spot cleaning the soiled area. Due to the delicate nature of the Tana Lawn fabric, we request that you do not tumble dry the collar – leave it to air dry instead.
