The Art Deco Collection has been inspired by the Cabaret scene of 1920’S and 30’s, a strong symbol of French and Parisian life prior to the first World War. Inspiration also comes from the Art Deco style of visual arts, architecture and design that first appeared in France just before World War 1.
The style of Art Deco became more popular internationally in the 1920s and 1930s, and was influential in many areas of design. Art Deco is an architectural and decorative arts style characterised by geometric forms as well as exotic motifs. It combined modernist styles with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. During its heyday, Art Deco represented luxury, glamour and exuberance. It was a pastiche of many different styles, sometimes contradictory, united by a desire to be modern.
