Mally is a sweet-natured, biddable lurcher, a gentle and loving boy who just needs a chance to prove what a perfect pet he could be. His is a clever boy who listens attentively and carefully, and wants to please.
Mislike him not for his complexion! Please look beyond the traces of the scars that once covered his face – all that remains of them now is a peppering of grey hairs. When he arrived at Celia Cross Greyhound Trust poor Mally’s face was covered in open wounds, the victim of the most appalling abuse. He had, quite simply, been used as living bait for dog fighting. I won’t share here the pictures of this poor boy’s face when he arrived because they are too shocking, but the transformation in his appearance is testament to the love and care of the team at Celia Cross, who nursed him back to health.
I never cease to be amazed by the capacity of dogs to forgive and to trust again. Despite the all that he has been though, Mally remains a remarkably well-adjusted, loving dog. He is happy in the comfort of the Celia Cross Sun Valley kennels, but he so deserves the chance of a loving forever home at last. Please help spread the word and help Mally’s dreams come true.
ABOUT: Boho Babes of the Month is a joint project between Madaboutgreys Photography and Doggy Boho. Working with various sight hound rescues, we aim to highlight the case for overlooked and special hounds waiting in rescue for their forever homes. Mally is sporting Doggy Boho’s polka dot bandana in unisex pink – the floral flourish is the model’s own.
