Boho Babe of the month for March is a little late arriving but she is well worth the wait. Little Lottie is a tiny whippet lurcher who has been pushed from pillar to post in her short life. She hit rock bottom when she began to be touted among the free ads, with all the risks that entails. Then Sighthound Stopgap heard of her case and stepped in to offer her a rescue place and make sure she was safe.
This is what Sighthound Stopgap say about her: “Lottie is just 3 years old and adores human company. She is currently in foster with 6 other sighthounds and gets on well with them all. She is also cat friendly. She is such a devoted little dog who loves to please and will sit for hours having her tummy tickled. Like most lurchers she can get excitable when she’s on lead and meets strange dogs out and about, but there is no malice in this.
“Lottie bonds very strongly with her people, and the traumas and upheavals of her early life have resulted in separation anxiety. But with patience and understanding she is getting better and is currently able to be left for up to 2 hours in her foster home. She needs a home where someone will be at home for most of the day and dedicated to her ongoing training. She would be just as happy in a family home as much as she would in a one person house hold. Lottie also quite likes my other dogs company but this is not a must.
If you think you can offer little Lottie a home for life please contact Sighthound Stopgap on 07737 084269. Lottie is wearing an exquisite turquoise cartwheels collar, gifted to her by Doggy Boho in the hope that it will bring her luck.
She was photographed in my studio at Madaboutgreys Photography, probably one of the tiniest dogs I have ever photographed – my face and camera were literally pressed on the floor to get low enough for her photographs!
